Gaydio Host Comes Out As Trans-Masc On-Air

Be Broadcast supported Gaydio and Paris Munro, breakfast show presenter, to reveal that he is transmasculine non-binary.

In a world where pronouns have become a point of contention, Be Broadcast worked closely with Paris, the station, and media outlets to convey the news. But, more importantly, convey why this news mattered and explain any confusion people may have.

Working with the team Be Broadcast secured coverage across Press Association, PinkNews, Prolific North, Radio Today, DIVA, Digital Spy as well as talkRADIO.

Gaydio saw an increase in listenership over the following week, social engagement increased and hits to the site shot up by 12%.

Kriss Herbert, Gaydio Group content Manager said “Be Broadcast were great at shouting about the news. We got tonnes of listeners new and old get in touch from seeing and hearing the news. On a subject that could be seen as sensitive, Be Broadcast were there all through the week, with suggestions and support. We can’t wait to work together again”
