Ken Bruce at Edinburgh Fringe
Ken Bruce has taken his mid-morning Greatest Hits Radio show to the heart of the Edinburgh Fringe, broadcasting live today and again tomorrow from Underbelly George Square. The special broadcasts feature an array of festival guests, blending comedy, conversation and the show’s trademark PopMaster quiz.
Today’s line-up includes comedians Alan Davies and Jason Byrne, along with EastEnders actress Michelle Collins. Bruce will also be joined by Paul Merton and Suki Webster, giving listeners a mix of entertainment, festival insight and unscripted humour. PopMaster remains firmly in place at 10.30am, ensuring one of the UK’s favourite radio quiz slots continues uninterrupted from the festival stage.
Speaking about the broadcasts, Ken Bruce said he was delighted to be back in Edinburgh, a city he affectionately calls his “second favourite Scottish city” after Glasgow. He described the festival atmosphere as electric and said he was thrilled to bring “a little flavour” of it to Greatest Hits Radio listeners.
Next week, Greatest Hits Radio’s breakfast host Rossie will also head to the Fringe, broadcasting live from the city and joined by ventriloquist and comedian Nina Conti alongside more festival guests. The station’s presence at the event underlines the Fringe’s status as one of the UK’s most vibrant cultural gatherings, drawing talent from across the entertainment industry.
