Sky News has renewed its partnership with IRN, ensuring it will continue to supply news, sport, business, and showbiz content to UK commercial radio. The new agreement, effective from today, expands the collaboration by allowing IRN radio stations to use Sky News video content on their digital platforms.

Under the deal, IRN radio stations will gain access to Sky News’ live television feed for social media clips, as well as judges’ sentencing remarks from the ‘cameras in courts’ feed, a transparency initiative that Sky News campaigned for.

David Rhodes, Executive Chairman of Sky News Group, welcomed the renewal, stating: “We’re delighted to continue our collaboration with IRN and expand our service to commercial radio stations across the UK with video access.”

He added: “Sky News’ reputation for breaking news and video-first journalism provides our partners with an unparalleled service of accurate and fast reporting that gives audiences the full story, first.”

This latest deal reinforces Sky News’ commitment to delivering high-quality journalism across multiple platforms, enhancing the way commercial radio stations serve their audiences.
